Fine artist (photographer), writer, and dreamer. My Work. Since the early 1990’s, my work has involved the creation of conceptually based, socio-political photographic images that deal with memories of the past: images that have been part of my childhood and my adult experience. My work also addresses Diaspora, displacement, identity, gender and, most importantly, the underlying threads of violence and danger that appear to underpin our society. In portraiture work, my focus is to capture the real movements of the individual. In composing and taking a portrait, I am not only aiming to depict what the person looks like, but also to represent that which is a true reflection of who they are.

...Notas
...'Usted no me va a creer papa, pero en este edificio hay un lugar que cambia a las personas, se lo voy a mostrar'..
Padre e hijo entran al edificio, el niño le señala el elevador, 'Si ve usted se para aqui y espere a que entre esa persona, mire no mas y espere a cuando se cierre..'
un minuto mas tarde..
'Si ve la muchacha que entro ya no es la misma a la que salio, si ve y hasta trae una sonrisa como mentirosa, ahora si me cree'.
Luis Ernesto Valencia, el poeta mas joven que tuvo Colombia, hijo del poeta Elmo Valencia, quien muriera atropellado a los diez años de edad por un taxi en el 68.
