Shooting
Now, they came in a minute, it was so fast,
I’ve just shot with prudence, and the funny thing was that
everything came up really clear, everything from the chemistry.
They came in ten by eight, five by seven, yeah!
now I just have memories,
black, white, glossy, matt.
If I carry on shooting I will get more people frozen, of course.
I firstly shoot from the side, then on front and so on,
images bring to my mind poetic tendencies,
this is why I like shooting,
as I think to filter new ideas in stroboscopic and cosmic lights.
What if the film ends?
how am going to carry on shooting?
gimme shelter.

- Fine artist (photographer), writer, and dreamer. My Work. Since the early 1990’s, my work has involved the creation of conceptually based, socio-political photographic images that deal with memories of the past: images that have been part of my childhood and my adult experience. My work also addresses Diaspora, displacement, identity, gender and, most importantly, the underlying threads of violence and danger that appear to underpin our society. In portraiture work, my focus is to capture the real movements of the individual. In composing and taking a portrait, I am not only aiming to depict what the person looks like, but also to represent that which is a true reflection of who they are.
